Spring is here! While the rest of the USA is snuggled in their heated homes and waiting out the snow, We, in the Southwest get to enjoy our few weeks of Spring! Just a few weeks? Yes, because before we know it, it’ll be summer weather!
Go for a Hike!!
Henderson has some great hikes that are local and easy to get to! It’s a great way to see different neighborhoods and tire those kiddos out during the long spring days.
Hit the pools!
We have to wait until May for the Activity pool at the MultiGen to open, But lucky for us, the Competition pool is open year round!
250 S. Green Valley Pkwy.
(at Paseo Verde Parkway)
The pool hosts a variety of swimming lessons, special events, and competitive swim meets throughout the year.
Drop in to any aquatic fitness class for $4.40.
No worries though. We live in Vegas- and that means plenty of hotel pools open to locals!
March 28th is the opening date, call for local entry information.

Henderson Stroll ‘n Roll
Along Paseo Verde Parkway
From Henderson Multigenerational Center to Valle Verde Drive
One of my favorite events- I’ve been to the original one in Bogota, Colombia, and this is not as big, but just as good!
The street is shut down between the MultiGen and Valle Verde, giving the kids and adults a great opportunity to ride safely all day long. Vendors and entertainment will be available, bring your friends!
A couple more ideas!
Friday, March 28 4:30-7:30
Twitchell Elementary School Organizes a FABULOUS spring carnival-
Support our local schools by coming by and spending some money!
Grab your friends, kids, and puppies and camp out in the backyard!
A great way to build relationships is to set up some tents and grab the firepit and spend the night staring at the stars from your own backyard. Its a great way to embrace the outdoors without having to pee in the woods!
